Accounts Hosted - Report to show turnover over 2 week periods

Looking into applying for the WA Covid-19 Business Grant.

We need to demonstrate a 30% - 40% downturn in turnover for any 2 week period from 1 Jan 2022 – 30 April 2022 as compared to the same period from 2021.

Can anyone please suggest how I can do this or which report would be best to use? I'm not sure if profit and loss would be suitable as its more based on just income.

Customise a Profit and Loss to display the previous year and the difference as a %. The income accounts are the ones to look at

@Marsha Just to add to Kris's suggestion, you can set the date range to the applicable period (01/01/22 - 30/04/22), then click on Modify Report ... to configure more specifically as follows:

    • On the Display tab, Display columns by "Two week" & tick the "Previous Year" & "% of Income" checkboxes
    • On the Filters tab, select "All Ordinary Income Accounts" in the Account Filter list
    • On the Fonts & Numbers tab, tick the checkbox for Show Negative Numbers "In Bright Red" (I have this as default for all reports in my Preferences as it really makes the negative numbers much easier to see)

Don't forget to check your figures for both Cash & Accrual basis as either/both are eligible! 😊

Thank you Shaz, that's really helpful!

Just one thing - the report includes 2020 which we don't want on there - is that because I've ticked "Previous Year"?

It also includes other months. Perhaps I'll do two reports, one for Jan-April 2021 and one for Jan-April 2022...

If you're showing "Previous Year", this will automatically display 2021 so you only need to select the Jan-Apr 2022 date range.

NB: Apologies ... correction for the % .... You actually need to select the "% Change" checkbox, NOT "% of Income" :

If you identify an eligible fortnight, you can then tweak the date range to report just that:

    Thank you!!

I've also chosen "% change" under Previous Year - so will those percentages indicate any downturn between 2021 and 2022?
