Hi,

We have just purchased a 2nd licence so as I can work from home occasionally. I have saved a copy of all companies from the 1st licence and have downloaded them to my laptop. These have downloaded as QBB Format. I then have uploaded them from my computer to the 2nd licence when anything is done in the first licence, it doesn't come over to the 2nd licence, Should the first licence or both be in multi user mode?

Not sure what I have done wrong. Help Please.

In Reckon Accounts Hosted (RAH), the file is stored live on Reckon's servers so you don't need to copy or transfer your company file - Wherever you log in from, you are accessing the same file (just like if you login to your online banking from anywhere)

The desktop program, Reckon Accounts (RA) on the other hand, is only on whatever computer you have installed it on.

You only need a 2nd licence if you want another user to be able to access it simultaneously, at the same time as you.

    Hope that helps 😁

    thanks for that.

I do want to be able to access it simultaneously, at the same time as the business does.

When I log on from my home, it either doesn't allow me by saying that the "file needs to be uploaded" or the files I am opening are not the latest ones from the first licence.

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

For multi-use access simultaneously, the company file needs to be shared via the Control Pan:

This process will automatically create a new 'shared folder' location in the Q Drive that all users can access & your company file will automatically be moved into there:

The arrow at the bottom left of a folder indicates it's a shared one 😊
