What's features available and tasks can perform in single or multi-user mode?

    Hi Vick

    Features requiring Single-User-only mode include:

    • Company File operations such as backing up or importing/exporting data
    • Moving or deleting List names/items
    • Tasks involving "Accountant's Copy" File
    • Certain setup configuration tasks (eg Finance Charges)
    • Database (eg List) searches NOTE: Searches can still be done in Multi-User mode but results may be incomplete, depending on the 'indexing' (data categorisation & storage) status of your file

    Basically, Single-User mode is necessary for anything that requires the full file to be accessible &/or current.

    Features are generally also faster when in Single-User Mode - as the system is running only the one user connection - so it's recommended to perform bigger tasks (eg generating large/detailed reports) in Single-User mode where possible.
