You can't create a Paycheque for just LWOP alone as it's not possible to create a $ 0.00 pay however if you have other amounts (eg 2 days AL) to add, that will be fine.

Create a new Wages-type Hourly Payroll Item for LWOP, at a $ 0.00 rate & enter the hours accordingly:

Shaz, this doesnt seem to work with salary employees. The employees payroll info is set up as an annual rate not an hourly rate. When i enter the 14 hours into holiday salary it has the rate at full pay until i enter hours against another payroll salary item. Creating a LWOP hourly payroll item doesnt change anything.

    Hi Andy

No, it won’t work with Salary as this will just split the pay accordingly.

Instead, determine what the hourly rate is (salary divided by standard hours) & use the Holiday Hourly Payroll Item INSTEAD, along with LWOP ☺️

    Hi Shaz

I have a query on LWOP since the intro of STP2. If it's not possible to create a $0.00 pay but we want to track the amount of LWOP taken, can you still enter an amount against LWOP Hourly wage and then set up a LWOP Offset Deduction item to remove the amount?

could you pay .01 against the leave and .01 tax? Enter correct hours with a total of .01

Hi Kris, thank you. Yes I could. As I'm doing 38 hrs @ 0.01 it would be 0.38 pay and -0.38 tax. Would this be the best option?

@LEANNE_9716548 Yes, creating a Deduction to offset it would be preferable to reporting actual amounts ☺️
