PAYG is too high

Hi, the PAYG has been including the Super figure in the calculation. I read some comments here and unticked PAYG Tax in the Superannuation item setup and re-ran a draft pay to check and it still has the PAYG including the Super component. Can anyone please help?

Hi Robbyn
Check the PAYG Tax Payroll Item also as it sounds like one - or more - of your Super Payroll Items is ticked there (These will be right at the end of the list so you'll need to scroll right down):

This appears to be a problem for me too - I use Payroll Premier Desktop
Some PAYG is extremely high (higher than if the tax free threshold wasnt claimed)
Others only $10- more than the current Tax Tables
Not sure where to look
Have checked the obvious like ensuring the correct tax scale is selected at an employee level, - any other suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks Samantha

Hi Samantha
If you've checked the individual employee records, this will likely be due to having PAYG Tax ticked (that shouldn't be) for one or more Payroll Items.
Have a look at which employees are affected - This should narrow down which Payroll Items are likely to be causing it then check the configurations of these - including the PAYG Tax & Super ones !
