LIVING AWAY FROM HOME ALLOWANCE

Question

what should the above allowance be under. I have found that it is under cents per km which will be so wrong for our employee at the end of next financial year. I dont remember putting it under that. I am going to look at the free webinar about wages shortly

Hi Jenny

Yes, c/km is only for Travel/Car Allowances paid by the distance travelled.

LAFHA eligibility is very specific so I would be checking that it actually does qualify as that.  If so, it is not reported through STP2 - & should therefore be mapped to None - however there may well be FBT implications for it 😬

As usual Shaz you are a mine of information.  I think the migration automatically attached it to cents under kms. Nice mess I am in now with ATO because I did not check😭
