Customer address updates don't stick sometimes

I have Reckon Home and Business 2022

I have an issue where I've modified a customer address and everything appears to work ok.

Sometime later, when I go to create an invoice for the customer, the old address is shown as though I've never done the update.

Is there any reason why this would happen?

Is there a way to have it work reliably?

No backup and restore but I did notice that the program seems to access the files in the backup folder. Not sure why?

I don't think that could be right as all the account balances are correct.

Does it hold customer data in different files?

There are 5 files that are linked to the one data file just not sure what in each, you may have linked a wrong one.

I don't think that I have any control over that?

I'm not aware of any way to link specific files?
