I can see previous posts where it shows how to go into an invoice template, customise and add class.

This does not allows you to choose a class for each line, can this be done.

    Hi @BeefAustralia

    Edit your invoice template & tick the Screen checkbox (on the Columns tab):

    Thankyou for the above and yes agree it does add a column for class but does not give you a drop down to choose a class and therefore will not add the amount to the class.

    I would like to be able to choose a class on different lines of an invoice

    1. Have you set up classes (yes obviously?); if not there won't be a dropdown. I have 15 Classes set up and the dropdown always appears
    2. If you don't have a dropdown Shaz will probably be the one to talkto

    Thankyou for the above, would appreciate it if anyone could help with this. My thoughts are maybe it has to be a particular template.

    When I add the class column I still have the class box at the top of the invoice and have thought this may be the issue, if so then need to know how to remove the class box from the top of the invoice and only have it on the item line

    Try Edit>preferences>accounting>company preferences> tick the box "use class tracking"

    Thankyou for the above Charley, yes I have classes ticked in preferences and use class tracking, if you look below I have the option of selecting a class at the top of the invoice which is a drop down and have included a column for class with no dropdown. Am thinking I need to know how to get rid of the class option at the top of the invoice.

    That will always stay there and that can be the main class

    @BeefAustralia

    It looks like you may possibly be inadvertently trying to edit a different template if it’s not working 🤔😬

    When Class Tracking is on, the Class field displays at the top of the invoice by default. This allows a single Class to be allocated for the whole invoice, however you can edit the template to allow selection of a Class per line as per my previous screenshot.

    Thankyou both for your comments, I have tried several templates and yes I can get the class column but no option for the dropdown

    If you start typing the in the class column within the invoice does it start to pre-fill?

    I just tried this in my standard invoice template and the dropdown works. Have you tried a different invoice template?
