How to upload existing data

I have just renewed my Reckon account, downloaded the program after deleting the previous one, proceeded to the Installation stage successfully.

But then I was asked to select the backup of existing data. I have a Backup file, the most recent entries from a backup done three days ago. Five files contain this date. I hit Control C to copy them all into the installation program, and this did not result in the program continuing. How do I download my most recent data successfully?

    Hi @paul_10863763

Have you successfully installed the program itself & are now just trying to access your company file ?

" ... I have a Backup file, the most recent entries from a backup done three days ago. Five files contain this date. I hit Control C to copy them all into the installation program, and this did not result in the program continuing ..."

I'm not too sure what you mean by "Five files contain this date" - You can only open/restore one file at a time & it should be your most recent.

I wouldn't recommend having your Company Files/Backups in the installation folders (This is like saving your Word & Excel Documents in your Microsoft Office installation folders!)

A Company File (.QBW) can be "opened", a Backup File (.QBB) needs to be "restored" so you need to make sure you select the correct option here:

Follow the navigation process - selecting Next - & select your most recent Backup file when prompted. It will then prompt you to choose where you want to "Restore" it to (it will restore as a Company File in .QBW format)
