Employee Earnings incorrect on Income Statement

Hi there,

We have found that an employee has incorrect earnings showing on their Income Statement.

A bit of history - we switched over from Reckon Payroll to Employment Hero in Feb. We did an earnings Reset in Reckon via STP and this reset their earnings to $0 from Reckon and picked up the YTD values in EH.

We have no found that there is a random set of earnings showing in the employees Income Statements for the same employer - but it is only his earnings up until the 23rd of August. This is not tax ready (correctly as it is a double up of earnings and is included in the full year earnings).

There is another set of earnings showing the correct value for the full year and this one is tax ready.

How do I remove this incorrect set of info for Jul - Aug? I have already done a zero earnings reset so I don't know how to get rid of this. If I ask the ATO to do it they said it will take months.

    Hi Rosie,

When you said you reset the earnings to $0, Is that before moving to EH? Have you submitted another pay event after that? We might need to do NIL submission again to clear the value from Reckon.

You can follow this KB article below for complete guide.

    I hope it helps.

    Best regards,

    Hi Karren,

I followed the attached instructions to lodge a final pay event wit $0 earnings for all employees within Reckon. I then added those YTD earnings as a starting balance in Employment Hero.

It's odd as it seemed to work fine for all other staff.

I am thinking there may have been an issue with an STP lodgement back in August as it seemed to create a earnings batch from Jul - Aug for this one employee on top of the YTD earnings that got zeroed out when we moved over to EH. I have now lodged a second earnings reset for this one employee at reckons instructions - hopefully this resolves it
