Merging share trading accounts
I have Reckon Personal Plus 2022. I have two share trading accounts, one with CommSec, one with Macquarie. All transactions on both are entered in Reckon, some going back over 30 years. I wish to transfer all my Macquarie account shareholdings to my CommSec account. That is easily done for the actual holdings, but I can’t work out how to do it easily in Reckon. Is it possible to do that in one step, or one step for each holding, or do I need to delete every transaction in the Reckon Macquarie account register and recreate it in the CommSec account?

To the best of my knowledge this cant be done.
You might have to keep running them in parallel.

Dear @robertbshields ,
To transfer shares, you will need to do the following:
- Open the account you want to have the shares in.
- Click Enter Transactions.
- In the Enter Transaction list, select Shares Transferred Between Accounts.
- Select One Security and complete the dialogue that appears.
- Click Done to transfer the shares into that security.
I hope this helps!

Thanks. Will that transfer the transaction history of the holdings?

Dear @robertbshields ,
It should transfer this detail - from what I know of the process, it will transfer the cost basis per share to the new security.
