    Dear @Les Woollard ,

    Did you perform a clean uninstall of Reckon Accounts 2022?

    If you didn't, when upgrading, the software may crash when trying to update shares, and you'll need to perform a uninstall and reinstall the software.

    You can read on how to do so here: https://help.reckon.com/article/ily7uoxuo3

    I can't beat using REVO UNINSTALLER for doing clean uninstalls

    I followed the instructions for a clean install .It worked the first time .Now whenever I open Reckon a window comes up every time asking me if I am new to Reckon. I tick I am a user and have to restore the back up. I then get a message saying I am overwriting an active file !! Then as soon as I open it my computer crashes .

    As I have said before we have 20 years of data which I would like to keep

    Dear @Les Woollard ,

    A few things:

    1. Ensure that your Personal Plus/H&B file is located precisely on C:\Users\<Your User>\Documents\Quicken. If your file is not on this location, the configuration of Personal Plus/H&B may keep looping you like this.
    2. If your file is in this location, right-click on the launcher on your desktop → go to Properties → select Compatibility → Ensure "Run this program as Administrator" is ticked. This should allow the configuration of the program to save properly.

    If the two steps above do not work, let me know - typically, however, it is the first of these two problems that need solving.

    Kind regards,

    @Alexis

    We have done all these things, and it is working other than sometimes if freezes, and at that time his computer does some flashes in the background causing it to freeze.

    He is getting his computer looked at the moment.
