Just wanted to provide a quick update to let you know this idea is now in development and being built out as we speak. No timeframes just yet but it will be coming to Reckon One Payroll soon so stay tuned for more info.
Thank you to @info.theaglgrouop for raising this idea and to everyone who has voted so far ๐
Great to hear, although I think I may have suggested it first! ๐
Apologies @Mark_9171963, you're 100% right! I will add an update on your post as well so the folks who have contributed there are aware that its on the way.
I'm super excited to let you know this idea has now been implemented into Reckon One!
With Reckon One payroll's latest upgrade (check it out here) you can now designate the number of pay periods within a pay run for your PAYG tax calculation. The tax amount will automatically calculate and update based on the number of periods specified.
In my simple example below (click on it for a larger view), you'll see I change the employee's earnings from their standard 38 to 76 hours in the pay run and then specify the taxable pay periods to 2. The tax calculation automatically recalculates based on the number of periods specified.
Please note: You will need to use the new pay run creation experience to use this feature, simply click theย Check out the New Pay Run Experienceย link the appears in the message when you next create a pay run.
Finally, big thank you to @info.theaglgrouop and @Mark_9171963 for raising this idea and for everyone who has voted for it. Hopefully this new feature helps out your workflow and I'm excited for you to try it along with hearing any feedback ๐
