Scheduled payroll problem

Hi again guys,

I've found yet another way to confuse myself … or Reckon.

I only have 2 employees, set up on scheduled payroll.

A few weeks ago, both employees took the week off.

Not holidays - it rained, and we just agreed no-one's working. It's the way we roll 😅

Reckon won't let me enter a zero sum scheduled payroll for that week.

So now my scheduled payroll dates are a week behind, and I have to alter them manually every payday. It kinda defeats the purpose of scheduled payroll, and makes me feel uneasy every payday that I've got the dates wrong.

Any ideas how to get the dates back in sync?

Cheers, Rob

go to Employees drop down and look for pay schedules. Edit the one you are using and change the date

Many users are not aware of the purpose of Pay Schedules - They're ideally to allow for multiple different types of batch pay runs eg if you have some employees on a monthly salary v others who are paid fortnightly, in that scenario, you could have one "Monthly" & one "Fortnightly" & assign employees accordingly. This way, only your monthly employees will be in the Enter Payroll Information window when you pay the "Monthly" & only your fortnightly staff will be displayed when you process the "Fortnightly" schedule.

If all your employees are paid at the same time - whether you have 1 or 1,000 - I don't find the Payroll Schedules beneficial.

Instead, to ensure pay period/pay date accuracy, I just Show these columns in the pay window so i can check/confirm each time:
