Hi Team ,
I’ve created non-inventory item in Reckon, as shown in the image below. I can confirm that this setup allows us to both purchase and sell the item using the code, while still enabling us to view the inventory movement history.
However, please note the following:
- The total cost of purchases will be charged to COGS in the month the items are purchased.( 100% Lost ) which is ok
- Sales will be recognised in the month the items are sold.( 100% profit) which is ok
- The purchase price of this product will be averaged as we make purchases. which is ok
- The sales price, however, will not update automatically, mean the average sales price will not appear on the invoice when the product is going to sold. so the sales price keep coming $ 5 even though we have sold the product to different prices historically. i believe here to system to average out the sales price and update the card as it does same to purchase price .
- Must allow to use with assemblies to report sales under sales income ( otherwise sales invoices go against COGS and report as negative income ) which is ok
can anyone help in this regards
