How to download an IIF, TXT or other file type from the Reckon Accounts Hosted platform using the new platform experience (My Files)

Navigate to the correct file you wish to download and click on it to start the download.

For example, if downloading a verify_rebuild_data.log file, you would need to go to the Log folder

In the search bar type log and you will then see beneath it all files or folders that have that text as part of their name.

Go to the log folder

There you can see the multiple instances of verify_rebuild_data.log

Click on the gears (cog wheel) if you want to see more than 5 entries on the screen.

You can select the files you want to download, then click on the Actions button and select Download.

By default, it should go to the default Download folder on your PC.

Example: C:\Users\<YourUsername>\Downloads

You can change it in the web browser preference settings if you prefer.

On some browsers, it may ask you for the location, where you would like to download it to.
Once you have selected the destination, click on the Open or Save button.
Your download will now start.

*Take note of the download location.*

You may see an error message like the one below.

This indicates that one or more files that you have selected to be downloaded is currently in use by the Hosted application.

Consider downloading the files individually to confirm which one it is that is failing.

The best way to avoid this would be to ensure that after you have generated a report or completed a file verification, that you exit out from the company data file.

Then log out of the Hosted platform itself.

Then log back and launch the Hosted application so that you are back on No Company Open screen before attempting to download files.
