Changing Template Formatting, one blasted cell at a time!!!

I am often changing templates and find it incredibly frustrating to single select every individual cell to alter, as an example, the font or border

There is the capacity to select multiple cells to move them, why not also allow that selection to apply the same 'edit' to all cells selected?

Have asked this previously in a separate strand of questions but I think it got lost.

Is there ??? I wasn't aware of that in Hosted πŸ€”

Are you duplicating them & just tweaking the relevant areas accordingly, then saving them, so you can switch between them as needed ?

Try it . . . I certainly do it all the time to line things up if I need to (ctl-shft I think . . . Not at my keyboard where I just do it automatically)

We use different templates on behalf of various clients so there's no one size fits all that we can edit. Even so, it shouldn't be that difficult, it seems almost Excel based so shouldn't be hard to select and edit like you would with spreadsheet cell formatting

    I've just tried it & you're right - I was not aware of that !!!! πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ‘ŒπŸ»πŸ˜Š

Not sure if this particular feature is affected or not, but it's worth noting that Reckon have some limitations in what features can be enhanced or developed, because:

    1. The base coding for Reckon Accounts - & therefore, also Hosted - is actually owned by Intuit. In 2014, Intuit granted Reckon exclusive licence to continue developing it in/for Australia for the next century (!) … however, the source coding is locked, so anything that's part of that original "QuickBooks" program framework, is unfortunately not editable.
    2. Whilst Hosted feels like an online experience for us as end users, it's actually not a cloud product. In fact, we are all logging into Reckon's (secure, encrypted) servers which is where the program is installed/stored, in order to be remotely accessible. So … although this setup is great for US, it's not as feature-flexible & development-friendly as the 100% cloud products (eg Reckon One, QuickBooks Online (QBO) & Xero)

It's a very unique scenario as Reckon are the only accounting software provider who offer desktop, cloud AND hosted versions of their products πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ˜Š

(NOTE: The tech-y side of things isn't my forte so my terminology may not be spot-on, but hopefully it's sufficient to clarify ! πŸ˜ŠπŸ€žπŸ»πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ)
