We have an old server that runs an old copy of Reckon. We have a need to keep the server and the data, however being conscious of security vulnerabilities we would like to upgrade the server and the Reckon software. I am assuming from the upgrade documentation that this is doable. What I am trying to determine is will we have ongoing costs if we only want to upgrade for security purposes? I don't want to lose access to the data if I no longer wish to sign up for the subscription model and we no longer use Reckon ongoing. I hope that like in 2014 we have the software installed on our desktop and if we no longer subscribe we just don't get updates and we don't lose access to the software.
If somebody has some insight that would be great.
