Classifications in payroll summary report in Reckon One

It would be great to add Classifications as a filter (column) in the Payroll Summary report.

Each month I have to do a report for the full payroll for all employees which includes 4 different states. Once extracted to Excel or CSV, I then have to manually sort to each state. By having classifications as an optional column, it would allow me to quickly sort the data once exported. Or if the Sort by options above could have Classifications as an option - even better.

This helps with balancing to the ledger in Reckon Accounts Hosted as we do not use Reckon One for the business.

I use the classifications option in the payroll detail report but having them in the payroll summary or employee earnings summary reports would be great, added my vote

I just wanted to add a quick little update here 🙂

Toward the end of last year we expanded the ability to add classifications to a range of more payroll reports. While it hasn't made its way to the Payroll Summary Report as outlined in this idea just yet, it is now available in the Employee Earnings Summary report as you mentioned @Eric Murphy.

I need to report wages paid to various states and currently am having to do this manually. The new feature allowing CLASSIFICATION allows me to create a class for each state but currently I can only report this through Financial/Account Enquiry which gives me a report itemising by contact and classification, not by employee wages and class.

It would be great if Classification could be added as an option to the payroll summary support and to have the ability to subtotal by classification or to be able to select which Classification to include in the report.

I'm open to any other possible changes to allow wages to be reported by State!

Thanks for raising this idea! I’ve merged your post (and its vote) with an earlier idea that’s requesting the same thing so we can keep all feedback and votes in the one place.

In the meantime, would the Employee Earnings Summary or Payroll Detail report cater to your requirements? Both of those reports include the ability to display classifications along with a more detailed breakdown of employee pay over the payroll summary report.
