Do I need to enter employees super info to the CFS clearing house?

If using Reckon accounts hosted do I need to enter all of the employees super information into the colonial first state super clearing house or will those details be drawn across from Reckon Hosted?

The purpose of the SAFF file is for it to transfer that data in for you (so it does need to be complete & accurate in your Hosted file first though!) 😁

Once all your information in Reckon is correct you will have to wait for a payroll after that time to import a Saff file, not prior to before you had it all setup

once all the super info is correct in Reckon you can upload a Saff file from that date on, not a previous period

Hi All

I understand all of this but the Reckon Hosted software will have to be updated to include fund ABN etc won't it before I can start using the Colonial Clearing house. I am currently using the SBSCH or do I have to enter all of the information into Colonial. I just don't understand what I need to do where!

@Melandjas123 Reckon Accounts doesn't need an update for SuperStream, it's been able to do it for years.

You need to setup your super funds and employees. There's a guide Reckon shared in the announcement, you need to follow that

you need to enter all the info into Reckon first and when you export a SAFF file it will enter all the employees into Colonial

no you only need the ABN if it’s a SMSF. If that’s is the case you need to enter a supplier for the super fund name, you then can enter ABN & bank details in there. Then you add a payroll item for super for that fund and link it to the super supplier. In the clearing house you will have to add a fund for the SMSF and fill out details including bank details. Then you add the newly created super payroll item to the employee
