Payroll Item multiplier

Question

How do i change a payroll multilplier once it has been added in a payroll item ?

I want to change this and others to "zero" so when it is auto placed in the wage run i dont have to delete the 1 in each line for employees who havent done overtime

Is this possible ??

Hi @ROB PAYNE,

It would affect previous pay runs as the pay item is still linked to them, if you say for example attempt to revert a previous pay run to draft and have changed the multiplier it would calculate differently afterwards.

It would be easiest to create a new pay item and use it from here on out in the new pay runs, however I still make the recommendation of posting on our ideas section in the community so our development team can review and see if it's possible to make these changes.

But I am not changing the rate only the multiplier - because when the item is setup on a regular pay run sequence the item always has 1 x - and I would prefer it to be 0 (zero)… doesnt quite make sense that it cant be modified …

Hi @ROB PAYNE,

To answer your question in relation to the rate multiplier, you cannot change the rate after you have created the payroll item.

You would need to create a new pay item each time with different rates, I do believe this decision was made to not affect older pay run information so it needs to stay static.
