Customising a Super Data (SAFF File) Report

What is everyone using for dates when generating a super data report to send to the Colonial State First Choice Super.

We pay wages on a Thursday with payweek ending Wednesday.

When paying wages on the Thursday can i customise the report to today and export it like this or does the report need actual payroll dates noted.

I believe Super Payments should be entered by the pay date not the pay period as this is how the SAFF file is generated based on the payment date between two periods.

An example of this would be having a pay run between the 1st and 30th of April, but the payment date fell on the 1st of May. It would not pick up the pay runs because the payment date was on the 1st of May, if you were to select only April it would show no pay runs for the SAFF file.

So I would suggest sticking to the payment date and not pay period for a pay run on when it had concluded.

ALL payroll reports are based on PAYCHEQUE date, regardless of pay period 😁

💡 Aha! Selection dates - both RAH & clearing house - always refer to PAYMENT date !

eg If you select “14/05/26 - 20/05/26” in RAH, it will fetch PAYCHEQUES DATED in that range (not for time worked specifically in that period)! Therefore, the “contribution selection” option in the clearing house is referring to these PAY dates. If these are all PAID on 21/05/26, THAT is the date you should be selecting.

I don’t know the HostPlus interface specifically, but as mentioned previously, any dates referenced will be payment/processing-related as super is N/A to hours worked (pay period), only when PAID for those hours 😁

Sorry thought i had this sorted.

Please see attached how my super is being transferred to funds. Even though i select the correct dates in Colonial when i upload file our employees actual superfund (the attached from Host Plus) reports from date and to date the same as generated report.

What dates are the actual Paycheques in your uploaded file ?

The dates that HostPlus is referencing here are all only a day different so this will likely just be their processing date 😊 :

Hi Shaz, I am not concerned about the date that Host Plus process the payment which you have highlighted. It's the date underneath that reads 21 May 2026 - 21 May 2026 when the actual pay period is 14/05/2026 - 20/05/206. I realise the date is the generated report date.

When I log into the Colonia First State clearing house it gives an option to set the contribution start and end dates so I choose use specific dates which I enter the pay period for example 14/05/2026 - 20/05/2026.
