Easy Start - How do I enter the opening bank balance? The bank account was set up 3 months ago

At the time the bank balance was set up I didn't know what the opening balance was.  Now I do and I cant find where to enter it

    Hi Sue,

    Welcome to the Reckon Community.

    You an enter the opening balance through a General Journal (Company > For Your Accountant > make General Journal entries).

    Hi John,

    I couldn't see where Reckon Easy Start has a bank reconciliation function so I have been doing manual bank recs with paper and pen.  Is there a facility to do a Bank Rec in Easy Start?

    Hi again Sue,

    You start off the reconciliation at: Company > For Your Accountant > Reconcile.

    Thanks for that John, I have another question.  How do I turn off the default that sends all deposits to undeposited funds.  I would prefer they go straight to the bank account

    Hi Sue,

    Easy Start is coded to accept all payments to Undeposited Funds only.

    Higher editions of Accounts Business (Accounting and higher) will allow you to assign the default account to accept payments.
