Timesheet hours input vs payroll input

I am trying to set up payroll in reckon accounts, previously we have used payroll premier. i have entered hours worked and allocated against job nos in payroll, when I ran the Time by job detail report the hours had not come across. Do i also need to enter the hours in a time sheet to utilize this report? Are these 2 reports not related

You should enter the hours to the timesheets and use the timesheets to prepare the pays. This will accomplish what you want to do0

i have tried that and the hours do not show up in the payroll area1

On the Payroll and compensation info tab theres an check box to allow you to use time data to create pay cheques0
