Dividend Income & Incorrect Price

Entering dividend increases quote/price for stocks incorrectly?? anyone else noticed this

    Hi Dave, thanks mate, I reconcile daily, when a dividend is entered through "Record an income event, the system is dividing the Dividend amount by the number of shares held and the result is added to the Share Price which obviously gives an inflated price.  At least I am now aware of what is happening, even if I don't know why.
