Maternity Leave and STP Lodgement

Employee commencing maternity leave - paying out annual and personal leave entitlements in final pay today.  Employee will return at some time in the future.  Is this classed as a FINAL PAY EVENT when lodging STP??

    Are you talking full-time employee, are they getting paid Maternity leave from government paid via your payroll.  Are you required to maintain their continuity of service whilst on Maternity leave.

    Unless you are sure they want be back this financial year, I wouldn't Final Pay them
