trial version won't install

I am running a 2015 version of Reckon Accounts Personal Plus. I have tried to download a trial version of 2019 Reckon Accounts Personal Plus to test doing my backup of data before uninstalling the old version.
it is coming up with two errors independently of each other.
the first is that it detects an older version and i have to uninstall that first. Other forums have said that this shouldn't occur if I am downloading the trial version.
The second error is that during the autorun it can't detect setup.exe. It then closes.
