I have just noticed that the YTD Amount is not correct on the employee play slips. When I do a report the figures are correct on Quickbooks payment summaries. Im am using Reckon accounts premier 2019. The employee wants to show his bank his income to get a loan.

Leanne.  How have you arrived at the conclusion that they are not correct?  What are you comparing them to?

Leanne.  Please provide details of every line which is showing on the pay slip, giving details under each of the columns EARNINGS & HOURS, CURRENT and YTD AMOUNT.

Did you start entering weekly pays in 1/7/19 or did you enter YTD figures at some stage? If so a payment summary might be better as this picks up the YTD figures

    Salary & jobkeeper $1136  35.5 hours = Current $1136 -  YTD amount $4640

Ok that blows that idea, have you looked at the payment summary figures?

If you entered a pay on 1/7/19 that is regarded as being for the 2019/20 year irrespective of whether the hours were accrued in the year to Friday 20/6/2019.
What is the date of the pay slip that you are talking about?  You gave the impression that it is a current pay slip.

    Hi Leanne

If the figures are correct on payroll reports & payment summaries but just not on the payslip, I’m wondering if it’s just a template design issue ?

Are you using a customised Payslip template or just one of the 3 default Reckon ones?

    Hi Leanne

It’s a little hard to follow your examples as you’ve not identified them per Payroll Item as per John’s suggestion of how the payslip is laid out.

    eg You’ve stated “Salary & JobKeeper $1136

Have you got “Salary & JobKeeper” setup as a single Payroll Item (which would definitely be incorrect!) or as 2 separate Payroll Items?

(Assuming correct setup) “JobKeeper Topup” amounts - & any other Payroll Items used (eg Leave, Loading, Bonuses, Commission, TiL RDOs etc) – will all show on separate lines with a YTD value for each.

The total of all lines under “Earnings & Hours” should be what matches with the payment summary “Gross Payments” amount.

(NOTE: In addition, JobKeeper will be shown as a separate “Allowance” both on the Payslip & on payment Summaries, again with its own YTD value)

    • Have you ever had this employee setup under another (similar) Employee Name (eg due to name/spelling issue with the initial employee setup)?
    • Have you used any other Payroll Items throughout the year?
    • Are all your Payroll Items correctly configured?
    • What is the Pay Period of your screenshot example?
    • What is the Pay Date for this screenshot example?

    Whereabouts are you based?

You may be best getting a Reckon Accredited Partner out to assist you so that all the possible causes can be investigated & configurations checked.
