Setting up new Tax Payable Account

Please advise if it is really necessary to set up dummy accounts to make entries for each tax code as per Reckon help instructions in order to complete June BAS in July in a new company rather than bringing in a balance at the Tax Payable account?  Pros/Cons?   With thanks

    What do you mean, I have never setup a new Tax Payable account, I don’t even think it’s possible. What would be the advantage?
