Adding TFN declaration after STP submission?

Hi,

Just wondering whether anyone could tell me if there is a way to submit the TFN declaration on Hosted for a new employee online after their first STP submission has already been sumbitted. Next STP run for that employee wont be until the new year which is after the 14 day submission period? Can I do an update event to get the TFN declaration included in that pay run?

Just tick the checkbox & enter the applicable date that the employee actually signed the form. It will flow through next submission 😁

Thankyou for your reply Shaz. So it wont matter that the declaration goes through later than the 14 days to ATO ask for?

No, it doesn't matter.

No - it's supposed to be within 14 days but this isn't actively monitored or checked still as yet. (Some old-school employers would leave it weeks/months to submit the paper copy ... if they lodged it at all! 🤦‍♀️ ... Definitely don't recommend that)

As STP progresses & data matching improves, the ATO may well get stricter with this but but at this stage, being a little late is perfectly fine 😊
