Updates and Renewing account

I am not very computer savvy.

I am just trying to do updates so that I can renew my subscription. The telephone support person told me to download the 2022 version, and if I had any problems to post on here.

I have tried to install the download but to install it wants me to unistall our current reckon. Is this right? Will I loss my data?

Your data is the qbw file not the program. You should always have a backup - an qbb file - and you should know where your data file is stored. You can even make a copy of that file just to be sure. When you uninstall the program it won’t delete your data file, but you need to know where it is (often in My Documents) so that you can navigate to it and reopen, or restore the backup

Before you uninstall the Reckon Account software, first make a backup of your data file (QBW) so that you end up with a backup file (QBB).

Take note of the location where the QBW and the QBB are stored.

Then go through the installation process of the newer Reckon Accounts 2022.

This installation is an upgrade of the software.

Then activate the software.

Then when you select and open your company data file (QBW) it will go through the upgrade process.
