When will Reckon Hosted be able to simply upload invoices and receipts as a PDF rather than a link to One Drive??? Other packages have this ability, you just attach the PDF straight from email or scanned document.
Morning @BC2019
When you say a link to OneDrive. Does that mean, that in the email, the attachment is actually a link to open. Because, when we email invoices etc. It attaches the PDF file in the email for the receiver as in the screenshot, after I tested in my system -
Please confirm if I am missing something here. Thank you!

The inquiry may not be fully explained ?
What happens after the pdf is uploaded where?
So if Bills Accounts Payable , do you want the bills to be uploaded as a bill entry in RAH?
Uploading bulk bills like say 15 and get them posted as accounts payable entry ?
😀
I believe I understand the question exactly because in Quickbooks online when I enter a bill I am able to attach the bill as a PDF for future reference, which makes it very easy if you wish to check any details on the actual invoice. I do understand though that Quickbooks online and Reckon hosted are 2 totally different platforms, and you can only attach a link to the invoice (bill) which will then open the location - e.g. OneDrive
YES , in QBO and others, my clients use it all the time
This attaching pdf to a bill is available in US version of QuickBooks as we also developers of US Version.
Requires source codes changing to RAH thats a big issue .
I think it’s important to note that the competitor products who have this capability are ALL online/cloud-based.
Whilst to us - as the end user - Hosted access is “online”, we are actually just accessing Reckon’s servers as this is where the program resides. Therefore, the functionalities for cloud/online processes (such as attaching documents) is not as simple as in the cloud/online products 😬
There would be significant storage space & security challenges if all users saved their source documents on Reckon’s servers 😔
Hi @BC2019
Can you confirm whether your question is asking about the ability to attach/link a scanned image/PDF document of a BILL (Supplier Invoice) to a transaction that you are entering?
Example:
If that scenario above is what you are looking for, then current functionality is not present.
Currently, only the Links action is available, which can store text-based information such as URL's in your own stored copies of documents.
Hi Cosmic
Quickbooks just released the Australian version In March 2024 "Quickbooks Advanced online" that attaches pdfs Invoices & receipts etc direct into Quickbooks for easy reference attached to that bill or purchase. Their invoices do go across two pages as well. Mobile phone APPS and epson rapid receipts & a variety of company or personalised qbooks emails directly link to transfer the receipts & invoices across. I believe this will place Reckon in direct competition with Quickbooks. Reckon One is still for smaller growing businesses and not yet up to par with Reckon Accounts or Hosted level yet for businesses to transfer across. Quickbooks online Advanced is not up-to-date with their customised invoices & statements as Reckon is, but QBO already in the process of planning their first upgrade due to feedback from March alone in Australia already. Also their price is good. Cheaper than Xero and not much dearer than Reckon. I think Reckon will need to re-look at their recent price increase to keep customers.
