How can I get Share Prices to update in Reckon Accounts Home and Business 2022?
Share Price updates used to work - until some weeks ago.
I am still having problems updating Share Prices using Reckon Accounts Home & Business 2022. Today I spoke to tech support about this and explained that I have previously tried uninstalling the program and re-installing with a new key given to me by your technical support person a few days ago.
I have now explored all the 7 conditions you told me about using Legacy KB topic 5513. Re condition 5, I tried copying my QDF file to the default directory for the program but it still did not update Share price data.
Also I added the Reckon software folder as an exception in my Trend Maximum Security program which protects our computers. So, I am still needing this to be resolved. What else can I do?

When you go to update or download the quotes for your Share prices, are you receiving some kind of error?
Remember that Share prices update only at the end of day every day if it's an ASX or NSX feed.
US Shares no longer update due to changes in CommStock access.

Well, I thought it was fixed as I deselected all shares and then just ticked 1 share and it updated its price. But then, after I re-ticked all the shares I am interested in (about 30), and clicked on Download Stock Quotes the prices for all the other shares have still NOT been updated. It looks like to got the price for the first 13 lines of the Holdings but none after that.
So, it is still not working like it used to. It is most frustrating.

Can you check each Share and ensure their Ticker Symbol is correct per the ASX/NSX?
After this, can you run Reckon Accounts as Administrator and see if you are able to update these shares?

also retic one or two at a time and check each time until you have them all checked. don't tick them all at once

Hi there again,
I did try running it as Administrator - no different outcome.
I did try de-selecting all shares and then selecting just two (AOV and ANZ) on the ASX.
AOV did have a price (which it did a few days ago when I added just one share) but ANZ (which is a very common and significant ASX share) did not. I then unselected AOV and just left ANZ selected (ie just 1 share) and it did NOT update a price for that share.
So, I haven't bothered to add all the others one by one - it seems pointless.
I am left wondering why should I pay for this program if it cannot do this task which is important to me?
Also, has there been any development of this software since 2022?
Will it be updated at some time in the future?
What other program could I use that would allow me to import my RKN data and track shares?
Lots of questions I am afraid…

Have you checked each share's ticker code and ensured it was accurate by using the Look Up function?
I can assure you that we have had no other reports currently about outages - it is likely something wrong with your installation, or a simple mistake within the shares.
As for development and other software, at present, Reckon Accounts Personal/Home & Business 2022 is the only Reckon software that can track shares and prices.
I cannot speak on behalf of development, though from what I understand, there is still development.

Well, the problem continues. The program is still not allowing me to upload ASX share prices like it used to over many years.
And now the program is not even allowing me to enter a simple transaction in one of my accounts (Visa).
Help please!

I still can't get Reckon accounts 2022 to enter ANY transactions! How can I get help to re-install it and get it to work? How can I get in contact with Reckon Technical assistance?

Similar problem ….. most shares are updating okay except a select few: WOW, WDS, WHC. At one stage WES used to download the wrong price consistently (open/high/close in wrong column) but it seems to have sorted itself out.
It works okay for over 200 stocks except a select few!!?? Stock codes are correct.
