Data file question - Preparing for v31 installation

I have been reading here about upgrade process from Personal Plus 2022 to the latest v31 version, including posts with FAQ and Upgrade Guide.

At the moment I cannot access my PP2022 because the renewed license is for v31.

I understand I need to uninstall 2022 and install v13. Since I do not have access to the Reckon now, I am not sure if my data file was backed up last time I used it back in early January.

My concern is for integrity of the data file and I am not clear about this upgrade process. I have been using and upgrading Quicken/Reckon since the90s and never had any issues, but this time I am nervous.

What happens to the data file Qdata*.qdf (in case it have not been backed up) when RPP2022 is uninstalled?

Is it better to start installation and remove old software when prompted, or should I uninstall 2022 first?

uninstall the old version first then download the latest and run it as he asks you to and you should have no problems and it will pick up your old data file automatically with a bit of luck

Thank you. There was no need to worry! Followed the advice. Everything went without single issue. My file was intact and opened up in the new version. Everything is back to normal now :)
