Error Printing After Upgrade - Desktop

I recently updated Reckon and am now experiencing issues when printing directly to the printer.

The error message 'printer driver host not responding' appears and the whole program seizes and forces you to close.

I have already attempted searching for the qbprint and wpr files as advised by your support page but cannot locate those files.

What other solutions can I attempt?

    Hi @Jenna123

The files you mentioned should be located in "C:\ProgramData\Intuit\Reckon Accounts v34\" by default. Is this where you are looking?

    Hi @Jason_Z

Yes I have selected to view hidden files and navigate to the Intuit folder but there is no file called 'Reckon Accounts v34. Just a list of other files which I have searched through to find nothing?

v34 would be the latest version.

It might be a dumb question but is that the version you recently updated to?

If you are not sure, you can press F2 when you are in the Reckon Program to show the Product Information

    Hi @Jenna123

There might be some confusion, as this was posted in the Reckon Accounts Business category. The latest version of Reckon Accounts Desktop is v34.

However, Reckon Personal Plus and the Home & Business range are separate products, and the latest version for those is v31.

Looking in this article, it says that the correct location should be:

    C:\Documents and Settings\<logged in user>\Application Data\Intuit\Quicken\Config

    Thanks @Jason_Z

I believe I have found the folder containing WPR.DAT - I tried to rename the file WPR.OLD and it pops up with a message 'if you change a file name extension, the file might become unusable.' should i still proceed with renaming the dat file?

    Hi @Jenna123

Yes, the reason for renaming the file is to prevent the system from locating the old WPR.DAT, which forces it to generate a new one.

In your case the computer thinks you are changing the file from a .DAT to a .OLD, so it gives you a warning. If you do WPR_OLD.DAT, the error message shouldn't pop up.
