estimate/sales order extra column for stock on hand

Is there a way to create an estimate and or sales order template that has a column to show what stock we currently have on hand? We are wanting to identify what stock we have on hand or if we need to order more when creating estimates and or sales orders.

    Hi @Beehive ,

Thank you for your query regarding adding a stock on hand column to Estimate or Sales Order. Could you confirm whether your main goal is to have this information displayed automatically from your inventory , or would a manual entry field be there in Estimate template?

    Regards,

    To automatically display if possible.

    Hi @Beehive,

Adding stock on hand in Reckon Accounts Hosted or Desktop isn't a feature right now. It is possible to add custom fields labelled as Stock on hand, but you have to enter the stock on hand manually—it’s static. The system can't automatically update live stock on hand in these templates.

    I hope it helps.

    Hi @Beehive ,

I would also like to add,

Estimates in Reckon Accounts Desktop and hosted are non-posting transactions, so they don’t affect inventory hence live stock data automatically cannot be added. As a workaround, you can check stock levels while creating an Estimate by opening the Item List or running the Inventory Stock Status by Item report and referencing the information manually.

    I hope that helps.

@Beehive Whilst there's not a specific, live "Available" column on forms for stock, you can set your preferences to alert you when you have insufficient quantity to fulfill the actual sale (from the Edit dropdown menu > Preferences):

In which case, when you try to create/generate an sales form (Invoice or Sales Receipt), it will warn you:

If you are using the Accountant, Manufacturing & Wholesale or Retail Editions or Enterprise / Hosted, you can track backorders & view any Item's detail & current availability by clicking on this icon in the Qty column, here:

When you click on that icon, it displays this window with a Show/Hide Details button. Here, you can view any other forms where you have used this Item, impacting stock level :
