Can you export a payroll journal from RAH to Xero?
We currently process our payroll through RAH as well as the GL? Powers to be have decided to change to Employment Hero for payroll and Xero for the GL. Time date is entered through the weekly timesheets and applied against the customers/jobs applicable. Is it possible to download the processed payroll to a format that you could upload to Xero?

There is no simple direct format to export information from RAH to Xero.
Any data exported would still need to be transformed into whichever format that Xero supports.
You can export reports from RAH as CSV/Excel readable format.
You would need to know what format Xero supports and transform the data.
Your Xero advisor would be the best point of contact for that purpose.

Not sure how much Reckon would be willing to help you move off them. I'd suggest that's a question you need to ask the zero community.

@Eric Murphy so if you were not using the payroll side of reckon hosted, any idea on how do you get the financial information into the GL accounts and applied against the customers so you can run job P&L's

I'm not really sure what you mean but you might want to look at exporting the general ledger or journal report.
Isn't zero handling your transfer?

setting up to running parallel accounting systems to make sure everything works before going live.

From Reckon Accounts, export info such as a from Journal report filtered to show just the info you need.
Then you can follow the Xero documentation to compare the things like header structure to help you create any transformation script or macro in Excel.

Thanks. Unfortunately, its the payroll that the accountant wants the information for. I don't believe there is a "payroll journal" We process the payroll through RAH and the information just flows through to the General Ledger. I can pull the information from the P&L but as we use time date and customers, this will be a lengthily exercise to create a journal that will reflect the actual processed payroll.

Have you looked at the Journal report in Reckon Accounts and modified it, filtering to show only the payroll related transactions you are after?

Doesn’t show the breakdown of tax and super so I guess you should ask the accountant. Or at least encourage him to use Reckon for his clients who do use it
