Change User to Administrator

Hi Team,

How do I remove myself as the Administrator and change it to another Team Member that is taking over my roll? She's already set up as a User with all access but can't do certain tasks in her log in (e.g. change the closing date)

    Hi @KYLIE TANNER ,

    Thank you for reaching out.

    Unfortunately, in Reckon Accounts Desktop, each company file is associated with only one Administrator account, and this account cannot be deleted or reassigned to a different username. The Administrator role is permanently tied to the Admin user.
    If you need to hand over administrative control to another team member, then you can:

    • Change the Admin password and share it securely to do this, first Login as the current Admin user.
    • Navigate to Company > Users > Set Up Users and Roles >Select Admin and click Edit
    • Change the Password and provide the new password to the person taking over the role.

    This ensures they have full administrative access.
