Reports Not Calculating Correctly

Hi all,

It started this morning with not being able to reconcile Dec bank statement correctly, no matter what I did I could not get it to balance so ended up with a discrepancy entry for the first time in 25 years of using Reckon!!

Now, my reports are not calculating correctly, the total shows 14,206 however should be 14,203

Strangely after spending hours trying to reconcile the statement this morning I realise the discrepancies are in the payroll somewhere.

Can anybody shed any light on why I would have this problem.

I’m happy to help but would need to logon and have a look. You should never let Reckon enter a discrepancy unless it’s an insignificant amount. One thing about bank recs is that they have to balance

I'm not too sure of the query …

Are you referring to a discrepancy just specifically in the RA Bank Rec process, a reporting-only issue or a payroll calculation problem ?

What report/transactions are those in your screen snip ? (The figures aren't quite clear enough for adding-up, to confirm manually) 🤔

As we are in Vanuatu I calculate report taxes/super etc manually, we don't have online reporting as in Aust/NZ.

My primary concern is the reports are not adding correctly and I cannot see why.

As per the attached file the amounts report as 14,206 when I calculate manually it should be 14,203 I cannot understand why Reckon would be incorrect in the calculation

I was referring to the "Reconcile …" feature & the payroll/reports within the program (that you generated this particular one from)

It may be the specific report or it could be just due to rounding - Can you check the Paycheques themselves in RA, to confirm the amounts there ?

If you run some of the other super reports too (eg Payroll Liability Balances & Super by Fund) do these show the same discrepancy ?

Also, add in the Sales Price column for this report in RA to show what the calc basis is (as this will show the percentage or amount) ?

sorry you're having this problem but I'm afraid I don't see how Reckon can be at fault. it's always a user error of some kind.
