How do I transfer the POS administrator to another machine?

    Hi Aydan,

    Welcome to the Reckon Community.  

    A few steps are involved here to ensure everything stays connected.  Allow yourself plenty of time for this process.  

    Firstly, post all transactions to QuickBooks and backup your POS database file (don't forget to backup your keyboard layouts as well).  

    Then, delete the terminals from the Administrator (Tools>Delete a Terminal).
    Copy your POS database file backup to the other computer.

    Uninstall the Administrator from this PC and install on the other PC.  You will be asked to create a new database file or restore a backup - select backup.

    Now open a terminal - it will ask to search for a database file, just like on a fresh installation.  


    Trust all goes well.
