EG: I buy petrol. Part of the expense I allocate as personal, part business. The credit card has an expense of $15, but I want 75pc to be for personal and 15pc for business.

Hi John,

Are you using QuickBooks/Reckon Account Business range (Plus, Pro, Premier) or the Quicken/Reckon Accounts Personal range (Personal, Personal Plus, Home & Business)?

If you are using the Reckon Accounts Personal range you can make use of the Category/Splits feature when entering a transaction in the register.

If you are using the Reckon Accounts Business range, you can make use of the Class tracking feature when entering a Bill transaction or a Journal transaction.

Note that you would need to manually calculate the percentage amounts and assign the appropriate classes or categories.

Hi John,

You will need to enter 2 lines for your transaction. One part being the business line pointing to the correct expense account, tax code, etc. The next line pointing to your personal account with no tax code, etc.
