Import files from Home & Business 2011
Robert McCaffrey
I want to migrate my data files from Quicken Home & Business 2011 to Reckon Accounts Home & Business 2013

Hey Robert,
Welcome to the
Reckon
Community and than you for your question.
You are able to open your
Quicken
2011 company file in
Reckon Accounts Home and Business 2013
. Once you download and install
Reckon
all you would need to do is select open a company file, and locate your
Quicken
data file,
Reckon
will do the rest!
This is a straight upgrade as you are looking to upgrade from
Quicken Home & Business 2011
to
Reckon Home & Business 2013
.
Let me know how you go.
Thanks,
Mirko

Hi Mirko
In response to Robert's question, we are upgrading an old PC currently running Quicken Home & Business 2007 to a new Win 8.1 Machine. It is probably time to also upgrade Quicken, so we are looking to purchase Reckon H&B 2013. Is the data transfer to the new version still easy from the older version?
It is absolutely vital that we can import this data - otherwise we will not upgrade.

Hey Adam, thanks for reaching out to us. Quicken H&B 2007 can be upgraded to Reckon Accounts Home & Business 2013.
It's a matter of backing up the 2007 file, then uninstalling. After installing 2013, you need to open the file within 2013, and it will upgrade.
Thanks,
Mirko

Thanks Mirko - that's great to know!
As it turns out, we only have the upgrade version of Q 2007 H&B and I cannot find the original version (v 7) installation CD. Will we be able to buy an upgrade without having the original installation disc?

Hey Adam, give our customer service team a call (1800 RECKON) and they will be able to look into things for you. So long as your version of 2011 is registered you should be right. Thanks, Mirko

I have done this and it did not recognise the files from 2011 H & B in Reckon Accounts H & B 2015

Hi Coral,
In Reckon Accounts Home & Business 2015, please try to go to File > Find Reckon Accounts Files. If you can see your files, find one with the recent date modified, then open it.
If still not working, what is the extension of your data file? (for example, QDATA.QDF)
Regards
Deny Dharmawan
