create a COM for thermal printer

i try to set up retail point of sale 2010/2011 in my new laptop. when connected thermal printer into usb, it com up with COM4. however when go in the the option to set up receipt printer, it only COM1 and COM3 avaliable. how can i create a COM4 to connect to my thermal printer

Hi Han Pham

Welcome to the Reckon Community,

The receipt printer will create a virtual port when it is installed.  When you configure the printer select the highest numbered COM port available.
