can i convert a *.TXT file to IIF or XLS format to import to a new company set-up?

If you open Excel, then open the file from within excel, it will start the text import wizard. This will allow you to say it's a delimited file with tab or comma separators. You can then save as a csv file, which Reckon to import as an iif file.
