How to fix error 1603

trying to upload 2014 update - had a p.c. crash last week - coming up with Error 1603 Microsoft Runtime Library error message

    Hi,
    There is an article about this error on the QuickBooks website in the US.  It appears to be a problem with the .NET Framework. At least that is one cause mentioned. May be worthwhile to look at to see if it is similar to what you are experiencing. The link is:

    Hi There, I have installed QuickBooks on my new Laptop (Windows 10). however received error 1603. There is a problem installing "Microsoft Runtime Library".

    We have tried to follow the steps as suggested but no success.

    Hi Nicole, unfortunately there was no support from Reckon :( I called them as well and they have no idea how to fix this..
