Error attaching a file to a transaction

I'm using Personal Plus 2013. When I try to attach a file or copy the clipboard to a transaction, I get the error message "Cannot create a file when that file already exists". I am using a unique filename (a numbered invoice). Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

No replies so far - isn't there anybody there who can help with this? It is an advertised feature of the software, but doesn't work.
