How do I record a purchase of foreign currency using **** account and deposit it in the foreign currency account?

Hi Arthur,

I assume you are not using a multi-currency version of Accounts Business.

Firstly, the amount will have to be an Australian amount so you should use the Description or memo field to detail the currency and the amount in that currency.

You will need to decide in what sort of account you would like to hold it - as a Bank Account, an Other Current Asset or a Fixed Asset.

You can then use a Write Cheque to record the credit to your bank account and the debilt to your foreign currency account.
