quickbooks plus 2004 : small business plus payroll company file - importing to reckon accounts 2014

Hi we have had a computer crash, using quickbooks plus 2004 : small business plus payroll, backup of company file saved to external HDD. can this file be imported into reckon accounts plus . original quicbooks discs hav ebeen unable to be located?

    Files will work fine with new installation, Data and Software are not linked (when you're not running the file in the software). After you install the software, when you activate you might need to give Customer Service a call on 1800 RECKON for Manual Activation. ^Mirko

    Thanks Kevin, new platform is win 8.1 and have been advised 2004 software wont run on this.
