Cannot open file. The QDF file is from a later version.

I think you are asking a very good question.
What is the use of backups if RPP 2015 can not open these old versions of the backup files ?
RPP should be able to restructure these old backup files as it reads them.
There is no use in having backups if they are made obsolete.
I will be interested to see what answer Reckon gives for this.

About the message you are getting, just wondering if you have used Invoices in your Quicken 2009. If you are, then you need to have Home & Business instead. But if not, its best for us to have a look into your file or even the version you have previously used to make sure it is indeed 2009. Because it maybe earlier than that.
Kindly email me your customer id so I can have a look into your records also If I need to ring you I would so we can resolve the issue.
