trouble transfering data from reckon accounts to small business

hey ive purchased a new laptop running windows 8.1, downloaded small business eddition 2014. my old laptop was windows 7 running reckons accounts plus 2014. i saved a backup copy and tryed restoring it onto the new laptop. it says it cant be restored because its from another eddition. how can i put all my data onto the new one :(

    Hi Alex

    The Reckon "Families" are:
    • Easy Start
    • Accounts/Small Business
    • Plus/Pro/Premier
    • Enterprise
    You can move up to the next level, but cannot go down a level. 

    You will need to open this file with Reckon Accounts Plus or above.
    • If you still have access to your old laptop, open Reckon and print out the Help > My Licence Information Screen.
    • Uninstall Reckon Accounts Small Business Edition
    • Install Reckon Accounts Plus.  You can use the program you downloaded, but install with the Installation Key Code from Plus (Help > My Licence Info screen 
    You should be able to restore your file and start working on it.
